Some ideas for quick breakfast...spcly for working women...

Kitchen is truly a nightmare for most working women...especially for those who dont find cooking as their timepass...it wont be an exaggeration even if we call the kitchen 'hell'ish for them...making a healthy breakfast for her family and herself...packing lunch and making sure that they dont opt for the unhealthy roadside or canteen fastfoods...returning home from office with the worries of what to prepare for dinner...whoooaaa...what a life!!!...yet at the same tym, she needs to make sure that her family relishes whatever she serves them with...n most importantly the food has to be healthy...so here I come up with some easy tips for making a healthy and tasty breakfast...
  • To start with...the very first thing that comes to my mind in connection with breakfast is mik...whether taken as it is or with tea-coffee, complan or bournvita...it is a complete food in itself...but raw tea or black coffee is healthier option for those who need to check their calories...also u can opt for slim milk available in market...keep a stock of  the add-on health drink powder packs available in different flavours like chocolate, vanilla, strawberry, kesar-pista, butterscotch etc...that will drive away the monotony and add variety...
  • The next thing that comes in context of a healthy breakfast is the wide range of corn flakes, wheat flakes, muesli and oats available now-a-days in market and that too in a whole lot of different flavours and textures...starting from honey crunch to mango flavour to pineapple n strawberry n banana n chocolate n kesar pista n so on...the list seems to be endless...and u always have the option of adding your favourite fruits with it...
  • Another universally accepted breakfast element is egg...in whichever form it is...hard-boiled, scrambled, poached, omlette or with french toast...store away those extra packs of organo seasoning and chilli flakes from dominos for adding that extra dash of spice in them...you can also add extra cheese to it if you r lucky enough not to check ur calories...u can simply make cheese omlette or scrambled egg by mixing eggs with cheese, a little bit of butter or nutrella and a pack of organo seasoning or chilli flakes and put the mixture in microwave for 1 min or until it starts popping...I bet u cant resist the taste...
  • The other most popular breakfast items acclaimed worldwide are sandwiches and/or home-made burger and/or pizzas...reserve a stock of brown(or milk) breads and burger buns and pizza breads...to make sandwich or burger just put two layers of cheese slice and a layer of salami or sausage(cut in any shape as you like) between the two bread layers and put the entire stuff in microwave...max for 1 min...u can also put a spread of butter or nutrella or mozarella cheese on the inner surfaces of the breads to get that extra flavour...u can add egg slice or fruits like cucumber or tomatoes as desired...to make quick pizza...add cut pieces of sausage or salami to egg and pour the mixture on pizza bread topped with a cheese slice...microwave it for about a minute...garnish it with some organo seasoning or chilli flakes...and your innovative egg pizza is ready...
  • Other commonplace options for breakfast are maggi, noodles and pasta...u can keep a store of ready-to-eat cup noodles for days when u have no time to prepare breakfast...otherwise switch to maggi or even better, atta noodles...add ample vegetables to make it more tasty, healthy and appetising...also u can make pasta...in pan or microwave...just add milk to it instead of water as directed...and voila!!!...the yummiest pasta is ready for u...
  • You can also keep a rich store of various soup powders available in market...although homemade ones are healthier...and you always have the option of adding some sprouts, grated paneer and vegetables of your choice(eg. grated carrot etc) along with chicken or prawn stock...it adds both to the taste and food value(trust me...I tried n it was a hit!!:)...and it goes very well with bread stick or even ordinary toasted bread as you prefer...
  • Some other healthy options as side items for breakfast are sprouts in yogurt with a tinge of chat masala and sugar...also u can stack your fridge with the wide range of flavoured yogurts and fruit juices available...although fresh fruits r better options any time...these items are must-haves specially during summer...also keep a rich store of glucon-c,d whichever u like...for anytime purpose...specially before stepping out in scorching sun...
  • You can also prepare custard or pudding as a sweetdish...dont forget to drip in few drops of vanilla flavour...add some fresh cut fruits and top it up with strawberry or butterscotch or chocolate sauce...you can also opt for honey as a healthier alternative...also keep packs of nutri-bar and muesli bar or even cup-cakes and chocolates if calorie is no bar[;)] specially for young members of the family...u can give ur personalised touch to the cup cakes by adding homemade toppings of molten chocolate in milk, or vanilla cream and top it up with colourful gems...
  • Also dont forget to stack your kitchen wardrobe with the whole lot variety of biscuits, cookies, chips, dry fruits and instant popcorns that are readily available in the market...u can also pick up doughnuts available in varied shapes and flavours during ur weekend grocery shopping...30 secs in microwave and they r all fresh to be bitten through...
  • Also keep a rich store of cheese, butter, margarine, nutrella, jams, marmalade...whichever suits ur health...and dont forget to keep a rich collection of salamies and sausages...both available in myriad assorted flavours in retail stores...and remember to keep a jar of ketchup on your dining table...
  • You can also prepare other conventional breakfast items like idly, uppama, dosa, uttapam, puri-bhaji, luchi-alurdam or chholar dal or ghugni...but I guess these r a bit time consuming...n may b u need a domestic help for preparing these stuffs...u cant prepare these on daily basis...n I think the other alternatives r more healthy as far as daily breakfast is concerned...bt weekends r always there to make those special items...
  • And for those sweet lovers...u can also keep those can of sugar-free sweet containers...warm it in microwave for 30secs-1min just before u devour it...n I tell you...its bliss...
These are some really simple ways to prepare a healthy breakfast...will add to the list if new ideas pop up...if you have better ideas...pls feel free to share...

Chicken with lemon grass n mushrooms...yum

Sir George Bernard Shaw has rightly said,"There is no love sincerer than love of food"-and we both nod our head in total agreement to his said words. Food is something which has always made me fall in love over and over again. For some people they eat to live but we live to eat. Cooking has always been my passion since my childhood, though my mother has never gave me any kind of formal training in cooking. But i think I got it by default from my dad. Well, when you will read this blog, you will find that we personally prefer continental and chinese cuisines. I take lots of inspiration from the cooking of well-known chefs like Kylie Kong, Nigella, Bobby Chin. But whatever I cook, I always give my personal touch. I mould the recipes according to my personal taste. So all these recipes which you will read over here are purely originals. Indian food lovers don't be disheartened, I will write about tandoori food which has alraedy earned a world-wide name. My cooking mantra is (less oil+less calorie= fit and healthy). Diet conscious people can happily cook this recipe and eat paecefully without counting calories. So fasten your seat belt and we will take you to the world of great cuisines. Lets do some cooking. My first recipe is chicken with lemon grass and mushrooms.
